Welcome Back Everyone! Brrrrrrrrr!!!!!!! Roll on the Spring!

CONGRATULATIONS to all you dancers for a superb Dance
Presentation Performance at the Glaxo Club. You really all were
terrific and make my job so enjoyable. I hope you all had a
great time and thoroughly enjoyed you’re Christmas &
New Year holiday!

This term the Thursday Evening Class will re-commence on 21st
January -7.30-8.30pm. This class proved to be popular and gave
students the chance to gain more experience, develop their
confidence further and practice their routines. This session is
open for any students who wish to work more on their technique,
improvisation and choreography skills. This class is for dancers
aged 13yrs - 16yrs.
The cost of the session is £3.50.

Dates for the Diary!
Decadence Dance Theatre are visiting The Brewery Arts in Kendal.
They are a Street/ Hip Hop female crew from Brooklyn, New York.
Google them!They are performing with a workshop on Thursday 18th
February at 7.00pm. Tickets cost £6.00 p.p. This is a once
in a life time experience and if you enjoyed Step Up, Step Up 2
The Streets this is a must! I have to say those routines are
amazing! Please put your name down on the list in class and I
will book tickets and we can discuss transport options! We need
to be quick!

Ulverston School Dance Platform -Friday 12th March - U.V.H.S School Hall.
This event has been organised by myself and Christine Jamieson
the school’s dance teacher. Primary and Junior schools in
the local area will be visited by a dance artist and taught a
routine to perform at the Platform. I will be working with Penny
Bridge School and Croftlands Juniors, so I may get the chance to
teach some of you at school! Hope So! A group from Dance Connect
will also perform! This will be a fun event and a first of many
I hope! More details will be given nearer the time!

Ulverston Carnival - Saturday 3rd July - This year the students
will be performing on a stage at Ford Park instead on dancing
merrily through the streets. A far better option! Mr Winston
will inform me nearer the time of their plans.

THE SOUTH LAKES COMMUNITY DANCE FESTIVAL 2010.Saturday 4th December - 7pm.
All Dance Connect students perform in this event from our mini
movers in Boogaloo to our jazz divas in the Seniors! This is a
great event that gives the students a chance to share their work
with other leading dance groups & schools and perform in a
professional venue. Tickets will be on sale from mid September
from the Coronation Hall box office.

Lastly there is a DVD available of VIVA LA DIVA. The cost is
£8.50. If you would like to purchase a copy please fill in
the slip below and return to me by Tuesday 26th Jan. No cheques
please thank you.
